From the Rocky Mountains to the World's Top Golf Destinations
Designed by Ryder Cup and World Cup golfer Christy O'Connor Jnr. Galway Bay blends the stunning backdrop of the ocean and Galway City with the rugged curves of the Atlantic coastline. Founded in 1993 and host venue to the European PGA West of Ireland Open in 1999. Awesome layout, ot bunkers and highly acclaimed greens!
**I've been fortunate to play and host an event here. Knowing that it was that good, I booked before I had even hit a ball off the 1st. Galway Bay does not disappoint! It oozes class throughout all 18 holes but don't get caught up in your surroundings because its a true test for any skill of golfer. On a windy day, you would find it tough to play a more difficult round anywhere in Ireland!**
Overlooking the Bay & green at the Par 5 16th
One of the best holes on the course. Starting at the tee box out on the edge of the Atlantic, the Par 5 12th has a double dogleg back towards to Ocean.
The Par 3 7th. Wind, water, bunkers in play, all your wits needed to hit the green and a solid shot!
